Apr 28, 2007· a little late, but here goes.... agree w/ 1/4" screen (hardware cloth is the "technical name") for almost every occasion I've found having a long rectangle shape works nicely as a frame for my screen... you can tilt the screen and let the rocks slide from one end to the other instead of just shaking it (also moves the wood/leaves to one end when you're screening in running water).
